The UN estimated that by the start of 2022, the conflict in Yemen had caused almost 400,000 deaths, with 60% the result of hunger, lack of healthcare and unsafe water.

Further estimates are that over half a million Yemeni children under 5 years old could die from acute malnutrition.

As winter approaches, the surviving children are just not strong enough to fight the bitter cold without adequate shelter or heating.
